Salem’s Christian Library

Our library has something just for YOU!

The mission of the library is to provide materials which help educate readers in the Christian faith and help them grow in their spiritual relationship with God.

The Fishing Creek Salem Christian Library is located on the second floor of our church in room 213. The library is open whenever the church is open. You sign out materials on your own; just follow the posted instructions. It’s that easy and convenient!

Do you have any particular questions about the library or finding certain materials? Please call our librarian, Kathy Alford, at 717-798-0971 or 717-774-0541. She will be happy to assist you.

Magazines for all age groups are available throughout the library

Audiovisuals include CD’s, books on CD, games, puzzles, computer software, and DVD’s for all ages

Gifts
A library material may be given to the church library “in memory of” or “in honor of” a relative or friend. A book plate will be placed inside the front cover with the names of both the honoree and the donor.

Donations
Library donations may be placed in the “Library Donation” box located in the library. Monetary donations can also be made. Checks should be made out to “Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church” with “library” noted on the memo line.

Would you like to get involved with helping with our library? Volunteers are welcome. Help is needed in maintaining the library. Please contact the church librarian if interested.

Spend some time looking over all the materials that are available. There are over 8,000 books, games, puzzles, CDs, and DVDs ready for you to check out. You can even bring your whole family! Puzzles, puppets, toys, and books galore will entertain young children.

There is a satellite library downstairs located in the snack area of the lobby on the library bookshelf. Materials found there contain topics featured from recent sermons, holidays, seasonal items, and new items. You may check out these materials right from the book shelf.

Our children’s section includes puzzles, puppets, felt boards, Bible figures and toys
